Service Adventure is a ten-month program for people ages 17 to 20. Unit members live in community and work at placements with local non-profits such as Habitat for Humanity, Challenge Alaska, and St. Francis House. The Anchorage Service Adventure Unit was started in 1996.
SOOP is a short-term volunteer program for older people. Participants make their own travel and lodging arrangements and we help find placements in the community. Past SOOP participants have worked at the Food Bank of Alaska and Bean's Cafe.
